Once you've read This I Believe II, pp. 14-31, choose your favorite essay from the reading. Then write a summary of just that essay. Instead of printing out your summary, type it here as your blog response and explain why you liked that particular essay.

What are SPECIFIC ideas for applying this feedback to your learning? In other words, how can you apply this information to your learning in English 60 and Math 20 for the rest of this semester?
Due: Before our next class meeting
Length: Two well-developed paragraphs

Post #4: HW & new blog response
Dear Class,
First let me clarify what tonight's HW is:
1) Read "Everything but the Ring" in my course pack.
2) Type up a summary of the article and print it out for class.
3) Complete pp. 43-48 in your ESP course pack. Bring your course pack to our next class.
4) Finally, go to http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp and take the short inventory/test there. It's similar to the one in your ESP pack, but the feedback you get is more detailed. Read through the feedback it gives you at the end of the test. Then, for your blog response, write 1-2 specific things that you learned about yourself. If you feel that the two tests were not accurate, you can comment on that as well.

Dear Class,
I'm hoping you're spending extra time on your Paper #1 revisions, so your new blog response is shorter than usual: state one specific area that is still not 100% clear to you (e.g. I'm not sure if my thesis is too obvious) about Paper #1 and/or name one specific thing in your rough draft that you would like feedback on (e.g. "I would like feedback on whether or not I'm quotes effectively").
Due: Before Thursday's class
Reminder: This week is the last chance you have to get feedback on Paper #1. I'll be out of town and away from e-mail for the long weekend. Also, if you haven't already responded to Post #2, it's not too late!

Office Hour Change this week
Dear Class,
I have a meeting this Thursday afternoon, so I'm cancelling office hours that day. If you want to get extra feedback from me on your paper, you can drop by my office Wednesday afternoon instead (2-3PM). Or, you can always stop by and see me at the Writing Center Thursday night, 5-8PM (your best bet is to call them to make an appointment with me in advance).

For your new blog response, state the main idea/thesis of "Marry Him." Then, in a well-developed paragraph (at least 5-6 sentences), agree/disagree with Gottlieb's argument.
