Post #1--> Your First Blog Response: Jelly Beans

You all have read the jelly bean personality descriptions and you've chosen the color that reflects you the most. At the end of class today, I asked you to think about which categories would be easiest for you to work with and which would be more challenging for you to work with. I now want you to also consider which of your traits would make it easy for others to work with you and which of your traits would make it challenging for others to work with you.

For your first blog response, answer the following and post your response:
1) Considering what your strengths and weaknesses are, what can you do to interact more effectively with others when working in a group setting?

[sample response: My color description says that I'm innovative, artistic, a hard worker, and I look at other people's perspectives. Thus, if I were working on a group project, I would offer up ideas on how to make our presentation more creative and I would be willing to put in extra work to see those ideas implemented. At the same time, my description says that I'm not very outspoken. I can see how other people might find this frustrating because they might want to hear my ideas, but I'm usually reserved. Thus, I can make a point of actively voicing at least one idea to any group project, even if I'd rather stay quiet and just listen to other people's ideas.]

2) Considering the categories that you thought would be challenging to work with, what could you do to interact more effectively if you were grouped with people from those categories?

Due: Before Tuesday morning
Length: One well-developed paragraph per question

p.s. The calendar says to write half-page summaries for "The Santa Ana" and "How Nature." However, if you feel that your summary would be more effective if it were shorter, feel free to be more concise.
